#HelloKeurig - A review of the Keurig 2.0 brewing system
Disclaimer: I received these items free for testing an review from Influenster.
I literally jumped for joy when I got an email from Influenster announcing that I was chosen to receive the new Keurig 2.0 brewing system in the #HelloKeurig campaign. I love coffee and since I'm generally just making a cup for myself most mornings, I love the one cup convenience that K Cups offer. But this machine also gives you the option to brew an entire carafe of coffee, making 4-5 servings. Fast-forward a week or so and the FedEx guy was knocking on my door to deliver the caffeinated goodness. I was excited to unbox everything. My four year-old was excited to have a large box to play in. Included in the package with the brewing machine was a carafe, a 4 pack of carafe K Cups, and a 6 pack of single serve K Cups. As if this wasn't enough of a treat, I received another email stating that an insulated carafe, K Cup carousel, and more K Cup samples were on the way! (Never got those extra K Cups, but the carafe & carousel are awesome!)
Overall, the Keurig 2.0 is a great machine. It was easy to set up, easy to use, and makes a good cup of coffee very quickly. I love that I can make a single cup for myself or I can brew a carafe if my husband or guests want to join me. The biggest downfall was that I couldn't use my current stash of K Cups in this new machine. The 2.0 requires K Cups with a white ring around the top label. (Thanks to the wonder that is YouTube, I found a way around this and can now enjoy my locally made favorite K Cups.) A minor annoyance, though, as there are several compatible K Cups that I enjoy. Thank you so much for sending these great things my way, Influenster and Keurig!
